AAC Phlox Conductor Application

3/0 AWG Phlox AAC Cable can be used in low and medium voltage overhead lines. It’s commonly used in urban areas because of its ability to carry significant voltages over short distances. The long-lasting, corrosion resistant qualities of aluminum make this conductor a popular choice for use in coastal areas as well as for use in the railway and subway industries. Shipyards and offshore construction sites benefit from the conductor’s durability.3/0 AWG Phlox AAC Cable can be used for most overhead transmission duties when conductor strength is not a factor. The conductor can also be used for primary and secondary distribution applications.

AAC (all aluminum conductor) is the most economical bare overhead conductor due to its lighter weight. It offers easier handling during installation and use of simpler fittings. The wire is corrosion resistant due to its homogeneous construction.

CONSTRUCTION :

AAC Phlox Conductor Construction

Aluminum alloy 1350 wires concentric lay stranded wrapped helically around a central wire. Each successive layer has six wires more than the previous underlying layer. Outer layer is right hand lay and reversed in successive layers.
